Does boudoir give you anxiety?
Hey Everyone! I’m Ashley Noble, owner of Adorella Arts - where I specialize in photographing women and helping them see just how beautiful and how worthy they are right now.
Today I want to talk to you a little about anxiety. As someone who struggles daily with anxiety, I know how frustrating it can be. I know how paralyzing it can be - How you can want to do something so bad, but because of your anxiety you literally just stay stuck and don’t do anything. You’re so consumed by all of your thoughts.
I also understand what it’s like to work one on one with clients who are struggling with the exact same thing. I get it because I struggle with it, too.
I would say that probably every woman has a distorted view of themselves.
These are just some of the things I hear coming out of the mouths of women just like me and just like you:
“You don’t want to photograph me”
“My nose is crooked”
“My feet are so big”
“My boobs are too small”
“I’m not photogenic”
“Maybe after I start my new workout routine”
“I need to lose 10 pounds”
“I have ugly toes”
“... 20 pounds”
“My boobs are too big”
“... 30 pounds”
“I have no butt”
“My lips are too small”
“My legs are so short”
“My eyes are too big”
“I won’t look like those other girls”
“You really don’t want to photograph me”
We start to let our insecurities rise, our anxiety consume us, and we start to feel like we’re not good enough.
We can all so easily pick apart things we don’t like about ourselves. And I just want to remind you that you are perfect. The way you are. RIGHT NOW.
So, if you’re considering a boudoir session - whether it be with me or somebody else - I want to encourage you to do it. Just do it.
Do it for yourself. Do it for your heart. Do it for your soul.
And I promise you it will be one of the best things you could ever do for yourself.
I believe that we all want to feel beautiful, elegant, like a queen, like a goddess! And I want to show you that you are that goddess and girl, you are that queen.
